Real Weddings: Blogs We Love…Dynamite Weddings
When I first found Dynamite Weddings, I instantly knew they had a good thing going.
First of all, their monkey mascots — Monica and Marvin — are a dynamic and creative wedding planning duo, ready to share their experience and expertise in the business of brides and grooms.
Second, it’s so darn useful! They’ve really scored on the utility front, providing Sacramento area brides enough helpful hints to plan their own wedding, a wedding for a friend and maybe a couple others!
There’s just so much info to be found here. The site is also incredibly easy to navigate, with a comprehensive menu at top and a bunch of “tnt” (tips and trends) on subjects like accessories, catering, etiquette, traditions, budgeting and much much more!
Although Monica and Marvin’s cute cartoon personas may have you believing that they are just a “couple of monkeys,” there’s certainly more than monkey business going on at this wonderfully efficient site.

Real Weddings: Blogs We Love…Nonpareil Magazine
How could you not instantly fall in love with Nonpareil Magazine? With the dusty rose and grey palette, adorable design and fabulous content, we were INSTANT fans!
So what’s the story behind this popular wedding blog? Creators and collaborators Maddy Hague of Inspired Bride and Kristen Magee of Paper Crave wanted an online magazine that focuses on “hip, stylish, do-it-yourself projects and inspiration.” Job well done, cause we saw a number of fun features on the site that got our creative minds churning.
In its lovely page-turning viewing format, you almost wish you had a physical copy to keep in your home. Luckily there’s a download tab so you can print some favorites to add to your scrapbook or inspiration board.
Our favorite highlight of the current Issue #7: the whole shipwrecked themed wedding for those of you looking for a destination beach setting.
There’s so much to enjoy here, we suggest you log on and take a look for yourself at nonpareilmag.com!

Real Weddings: Blogs We Love…Paper Source
Oh, when will Sacramento be lucky enough to get a Paper Source? The closest one to Sacramento is in Berkeley.
I L-O-V-E this store. As a recently engaged, I find I’m often perusing their selection of blank cards, in every color possible, and cute rubber stamps so I can make my own love notes.
Paper Source is also a purveyor of delightful wedding stationery, from invitations to place cards to menus…if you’re a DIY kind of bride.
They also have a great blog called P.S. where they share DIY ideas and inspirations from their little team of creative geniuses. For any and all occasions, they’ve got some really wonderful ideas for adding your own special touches to your special day.
If you love personalization and paper like me, then this is a must-see sight!
