Basic to Bodacious…And, It’s All Beautiful: Table #4
In the most recent — Summer/Fall 2011 — issue of Real Weddings Magazine, we teamed with pros Katie Edwards of Ambience Floral Design and Lora Ward of A Day to Remember Wedding & Event Planners to create four tabletop designs on four totally different budgets to give you an idea of what things cost. The results were nothing short of spectacular!
Last week, we featured more pictures and detailed the cost of Table #3, our Delish Details tablescape. This week, we feature our final table — Table #4, our Beautifully Bodacious tablescape.

“Completely customized,” is how Ward describes our Table #4 Beautifully Bodacious design, which swapped out a house round table for a square style. Upgrades to this tablescape include rented Chiavari chairs which feature
gray chair covers with eggplant accents shimmery table linens. Other touches include upgraded silverware;
silver-rimmed glassware; round custom-designed menu cards placed in the center of the plates; custom-designed name place cards and “Mr. & Mrs.” placards; and jeweled silver buckle napkin rings.
“Adding a double centerpiece makes it lush,” says Edwards of the high-low centerpiece design which includes orchids, tulips, hydrangeas and jasmine vine. Table #4′s design costs about $1,043 to $1,118 per table. “It’s
just opulent and detailed,” Edwards says. “It’s lovely.”
MIX AND MATCH
Edwards and Ward both agree that your décor isn’t an all-or-nothing approach. All four of these table designs have elements that can be interchanged. “You can mix and match all of these,” says Ward. ‘The key is determining what you like and how you want to spend your money.”
They advise to build on your design one touch at a time. “We brought in little details,” says Edwards. “Adding the salad plate elevated the visual appeal of the table a lot.” They also advise to make sure your overall décor suits your personal style and complements the other details of your wedding food and entertainment your big day fit within your budget.
Here are the detailed costs for this table’s upgrades:
Square Table: $11
Chiavari Chairs: $6 each, eight chairs totalling: $48
Gray shimmery chair covers with eggplant accents rentals: $25 each, eight chairs totalling: $200
Gray shimmery tablecloth with eggplant accents rentals: $225
Eggplant-colored napkin rentals with jeweled circle buckle ring: $2 each, eight place settings totalling: $16
Silver-rimmed dinner, salad and bread/butter plate rentals: $3.50 each, eight place settings totalling: $28
Silver-rimmed glassware rentals: $6 each, eight place settings totalling: $48

Round menu cards for each place setting: $5 each, eight place settings totalling: $40
Place card for each place setting: $1.90 each, eight place settings totalling: $15.20
Mr. & Mrs. placards: $10
Table name sign: $5.90
Two raised metal stands, with hurricane with floating candle; ring of orchids, tulips, hydrangeas and jasmine vine encircling the elevated hurricanes; flowers in low lush arrangement at base spreading between the two stands including orchids, roses, tulips and hydrangeas; and collection of cylinder containers with colored floating candles accented with votives: ranging from $375-450 each
