Wedding Date: November 11, 2011
Photography by Lexigraphics Photography
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Faith, tennis and family are a few of the passions that brought Fred and Sara together and turned their friendship into a lasting relationship. Every day since the day they met at Jack’s Urban Eats, they have grown closer together. They started dating and got engaged two years into their relationship. By year three they were married!
When they aren’t on the tennis court, Fred and Sara enjoy adventures in the great outdoors, often in the Crystal Basin or Trinity Alps. As self-proclaimed foodies, they love frequenting their favorite restaurants in downtown Sacramento. Fred and Sara truly believe that God brought them together, and they feel extremely blessed to have found each other.
What was the most amazing part of your day? Our candle-lit ceremony was lovely and intimate. It was amazing to exchange our vows, and share such a beautiful moment, in the presence of our closest family and friends.
What else would you like to share about your big day? Doug at the Monte Verde Inn did a phenomenal job on the catering. Our guests were super complimentary of the prime rib and salmon. We still talk about that grilled sesame salmon to this day!

Real Weddings Wednesday: Presenting Ashleigh & Chad Paine
The Couple: Ashleigh and Chad Paine
Wedding Date: November 12, 2010
Photography by: Capture Photography
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We met seven years ago in Sacramento and have been inseparable ever since. He was a country boy and I was a city girl, and he has done his best to make me a country girl… but a girl needs a mall or at least Internet access. Knowing that I still live to be a princess he took me on a secret trip to the magical world of Disneyland where under the winter wonderland of fireworks he proposed to me. We have always had the same goals and dreams in life, and marriage was just the beginning of our next adventure and to our happily ever after.
What was the most amazing part of your day? Saying I do… and being surrounded by loved ones and friends… and how Kelly, Doug and Annette from Monte Verde Inn made our dream wedding come to life while making the whole day seam effortless.
What else would you like to share about your big day? Enjoy it… Don’t sweat the small stuff… Make sure you have the best people in place to take on every task so that you can just cherish every moment of the day that is about you and your significant other.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Don’t settle and rush into things. Take the planning process slowly and make sure you are 100 percent sure of your choices. Take time to check your options and reviews/references. Make sure you choose vendors that know the wedding site well so that they know the scale, layout and timing to bring everything together.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? We had a 70 degree day in November, and the wedding was everything we dreamed of and more. We would have not changed a thing… We consider ourselves very lucky!

Real Weddings Magazine Inspiration Board: Presenting Ashley Teegarden and Eric Brandt
The Couple: Ashley Teegarden and Eric Brandt
Wedding Date: August 30, 2009
Photography by Ford Family Photography
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Eric and I have known each other for about 17 years (that’s weird to say), he lived across the street from my cousin, but we didn’t start dating until the beginning of 2007. We grew up camping together, and I would often see him at family parties but I never thought we would date, let alone get married!!! As strange as it was that we were just now dating after knowing each other all these years we found that we had so much in common – same interests, hobbies, friends — that it was even stranger to us that we hadn’t gotten together sooner.
We went camping for the Thanksgiving holiday, and on November 28, 2008, Eric proposed to me in front family and friends, I was completely surprised…and embarrassed but it made it just that much more special that I could share such an important moment with my mom and dad.
What was the most amazing part of your day? I can’t possibly pick just one…my amazing moments were walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing Eric at the altar waiting for me, our first kiss as husband and wife and sharing it all with our family and friends.
What else would you like to share about your big day? A big reason our big day was stress free was due to the coordination of Kelly and Doug of Monte Verde Inn and Rebecca and Barry of Ford Family Photography. It was because of them that Eric and I, our wedding party and most importantly my MOM were all able to show up on our wedding day and just enjoy it — we didn’t have to do a thing and we are grateful for that.

It’s easy to lose yourself in the planning and get wrapped up in the feeling that you need the biggest and the best but at the end of the day it’s about you and your soon to be spouse…enjoy it!!!
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? Nope, nothing…it was perfect!

Inspiration Board: Presenting Tom Lata & Bethany Perez
The Couple: Tom Lata & Bethany Perez
Wedding Date: October 10, 2009
Photography by Lisa Richmond Photography
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Tom is currently studying to become a nurse anesthetist at Samuel Merritt University and has been involved in health care in different functions for 18 years. While Bethany has remained a physical therapist at a major hospital in Sacramento for just over five years. We initially met at work and quickly became friends as we both shared many commonalities. We had our first date in May of 2007, progressing quickly as met each other’s respective extended families by July. On February 2nd, 2008, Bethany had a night of surprises waiting for her which started with a lovely dinner and a stay within a suite at the W hotel in San Francisco, planned by Tom. After dinner, they arrived at their room to hear Bethany’s favorite song permeating through the suite door. As Tom opened the door for Bethany votive candles illuminated the suite with a path of rose pedals leading in, awaiting Bethany’s arrival. He then handed her a ring and asked for her hand in marriage. To Bethany’s delight, Tom had advised her Dad of his plans and obtained his blessing previously. The very next morning, Tom’s parents aware of the plans, surprised them with a Champagne brunch to celebrate the special occasion!
What was the most amazing part of your day? Tom said: Seeing my beautiful Bethany walk down the aisle with her Dad gazing at her. Bethany says: Those brief moments together between the ceremony and the photographs immediately after we were married. We were both glowing and grinning ear to ear with the excitement of our union. It was a very intimate moment…
What else would you like to share about your big day? We selected our wedding date because it was Bethany’s grandparents anniversary and the Birthday of her niece Tristan, our flower girl . We feel fortunate that our families united together with our union.
