The Couple:  Caitlin and Matthew Sheets

Tell us a little about you and your beloved:  Matt and I actually went to high school together. We had similar circles of friends, but did not date. We reconnected several years later at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Our love for the outdoors and our active lifestyles instantly connected us and we became partners in adventure. On one of our adventures, snowshoeing through Calaveras Big Tree State Park, Matt proposed, it was perfect!

What was the most amazing part of your day?  I think the most amazing part of our day was being able to share it with all of our family and friends. The venue was so beautiful and we had a lot of freedom to create our special day.

What else would you like to share about your big day?  We rented the Redmond Reserve out for a couple days before the wedding so we had time to set everything up and a couple days after the wedding to relax. The house on the beautiful property was large enough to hold the whole wedding party so we all got to hang out before and after the big day, which was a blast.

Any other of your wedding vendor(s) you’d like to call out?  The groom’s amazing one-of-a-kind suit was custom made by R. Douglas Custom Clothier, who was absolutely fabulous. Our beautiful programs were made by one of the brides’s best friends and bridesmaids, Corrin Wendell.

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now?  Enjoy the time, it goes by so fast. Don’t get overwhelmed or stressed out, everything will work out and also remember this is your day so do things the way you want them that will make you happy.

Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance?  Nope, it was just the way we wanted it.
