We at Real Weddings Magazine were sad to learn of the passing of tech pioneer Steve Jobs recently. This true visionary not only changed the way we do business on a daily basis, but made a dramatic impact on how we navigate our daily lives, from the Mac computer to the iPhone and to the iPad.

Just last week, XO Group Inc., formerly known as The Knot, Inc., announced a new application for the iPhone and iPad called The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planner. Not unlike the popular Web site The Knot, the new app allows couples to create and update their wedding to-do list, track wedding budget expenses, bookmark inspirational photos of cakes, wedding decor and more.

What should be exciting to my Real Weddings Dazzling Dresses readers is the ability to browse thousands of wedding dresses…all on the go! For example, looking for a strapless gown under $2,000? You can search, select and save your favorite wedding and bridesmaid dresses from thousands of images that can be filtered based on designer, price and style.

The app is currently available in the Apple App Store on a complimentary basis until February 29, 2012, when it will then be available for purchase for $4.99.
