Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Scott and I are both native Sacramentans. We were in our early 30s when we met and knew pretty quickly that we had finally met our perfect match. We were engaged a little less than a year after we met and then married a year later.
What was the most amazing part of your day? It had been raining the week leading up to the wedding and all day on the actual day. We had no hope that the rain would let up but shortly before the wedding started, the rain stopped and we had beautiful weather for the rest of the evening!
What else would you like to share about your big day? We had such a great time having all of our family and friends there to help us celebrate. It was such a fun party!

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Try not to sweat the small stuff. It will all work out in the end and you will have so much fun. Just try and to relax and enjoy the day!

Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Dave and I first met back in high school and dated for several years. We even attended my Junior and Senior proms together, and the photos were displayed at our wedding. After being apart for 14 years, we were reconnected by the same friend, Andrea, who set us up back in high school. Then on October 15, 2010, 17 years after Dave and I first met, I married my high school sweetheart! Today, it seems like we were never apart!
What was the most amazing part of your day? The most amazing part of the day was seeing my groom waiting for me at the end of the aisle. Then, of course, saying our vows and being introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Chichizola!
What else would you like to share about your big day? We had a lot of special and sentimental details included in our big day. My favorite was having my mother-in-law embroider the names of the family members from both my family and my husband’s family who had passed away. It was a great way to have them included in our special day!

Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? The best advice I received was a few weeks before the wedding. A friend told me that no matter what, the day would be beautiful and if everything didn’t go as planned that most likely no one else would know. It was true….some details fell through the cracks, but none of our guests even realized it.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? I would have reserved more time for photos with my groom and family.

That’s right, beautiful Real Weddings brides…entries are now being accepted for the Real Weddings Cover Model Contest for our Winter/Spring 2012 issue which comes out in November 2011!

Want to know more about the cover model contest? Well, then, read on!
Each issue of Real Weddings Magazine features real local-area brides on its cover!
Hundreds of real brides enter, and ultimately three are chosen. Those three real brides get to participate in a day-long photo shoot where they get the chance to vogue it up in front of the camera.
All three of our real bride models will appear on one of our Real Weddings Magazine covers (like the Spring 2011 cover featured above with our cover brides Shelbie, Terra and Elizabeth) and then ultimately, one of our real bride models will be chosen as our cover model winner and appear on the cover of Real Weddings Magazineon her own (like the Winter 2011 cover featured below with our cover model winner Shelbie).
For the Winter/Spring 2012 contest, if you’re a local bride or a local just-married (cannot be married before January 1, 2011) and you’ve got cover aspirations, then you need to enter! The deadline to get your entry in is August 15, 2011.

If you’re going to enter…one word of advice, show us your personality on the answers to the questions — we love working with brides who have a lot of spunk, personality, humor and who are just darned cool girls. Be sure that your answers really reflect who you are! Oh, and don’t forget to include photos that really show your personality coming through as well!
