Any other of your wedding vendor(s) you’d like to call out? I have to say that they were all incredible and reliable. Would especially like to call out Aimee Fredy at White Daisy Photography and Jayne Marie Mehan.
First Dance Song: “We Danced” by Brad Paisley
Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Don’t stress! My job is stressful enough, so it was important for me to keep things simple and relatively stress free. The key was choosing great vendors, which I did based on recommendations of friends as well as Jennifer at Serrano Country Club.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? Probably hire a videographer OR have live music at the ceremony. Like many couples, we were already over budget so we had to make some hard decisions.

Real Weddings Sunday: Presenting Robyn and Steve Frame
The Couple: Robyn and Steve Frame
Wedding Date: May 5, 2012
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: We are both members of a local volunteer organization focusing on helping and improving the lives of underprivileged children in our local communities. We met at one fundraiser and started dating at another.
What was the most amazing part of your day? There was a Super-moon on our wedding day. The moon was bigger and brighter than a regular full moon. It was quite a sight. I asked our photographer to snap some pics and they came out spectacular. What a special treat!
What else would you like to share about your big day? It is such an amazing feeling to see all of the most important people in your lives in the same room.

Ceremony & Reception Site, Caterer & Dessert Bar: Timber Creek Ballroom
Photographer: The Studio
Cake: A friend made us a cake for photos
Flowers: Rosedale Florist
Favors: We had lottery scratchers, a penny and a note that said “we are so lucky to have you in our lives.” Guests will remember this inexpensive favor, especially if someone walks away with a jackpot!
Wedding Dress: I rented my dress from Alexandria’s in Roseville. The veil, petticoat and cleaning fee were included in the price. The best part was I got to give it back and didn’t have to find a place to store it.
Bridesmaid Dresses: David’s Bridal
Hair & Makeup: A friend who does hair and make up as a hobby.
Invitations: DIY. We bought them at Michaels and printed them at home.
DJ/Entertainment/Band: Storm Productions
Honeymoon location: New Orleans and then a Caribbean cruise.
Any other of your wedding vendor(s) you’d like to call out? Steve Siglin was our officiant and his ceremony was hilarious, our guests will never forget it.
First Dance Song: “Whatever It Is” by Zac Brown Band. That was our first concert together and the words are beautiful.
Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Borrow whatever you can. Many details of your wedding will get overlooked so why spend a fortune when you don’t have to?
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? I would have loved pictures with our guests at every table. It would have be a thrill to see what our guests looked like on our special day 25 years from now.

Jordan is the head JV coach at Folsom High School, I am a real estate agent. It is a little cliché, but it’s perfect for us. We are so blessed.
What was the most amazing part of your day? The whole day was AMAZING!! Having my mom walk me down the aisle and having my grandfather marry us will remain one of the most special moments in our lives.
Also, walking into the reception together for the first time and seeing all of our close family and friends in one room, there to celebrate with us, was definitely a feeling we will remember forever.

Real Weddings Wednesday: Presenting Sofia and Blake E. Lim
The Couple: Sofia and Blake E. Lim
Wedding Date: May 27, 2012
Tell us a little about you and your beloved: Blake and I started dating about six years ago. At the time we started dating, I had decided to go back to school to get my degree. I went back full time while maintaining my full-time job as well. For five years he picked me up at school and had dinner ready for me every night. He proposed the day of my graduation in front of my family. He is the most caring and nicest man I know.
What was the most amazing part of your day? Walking down the aisle to my husband.
What else would you like to share about your big day? It was the perfect weather. I’m from Peru and I only have two siblings here. I had many uncles and aunts that came from all over the world — Canada, Peru, Colombia, New York, Washington, Hawaii, etc. — to celebrate our happy day. Also, my wonderful grandma was able to come from Canada and my mom was here from Peru for the first time ever. Also, my in-laws gifted us with the wedding of our dreams. My husband’s grandpa who had been ill for a while made it to the wedding. He passed a couple of months after but we were so happy he made it to our wedding.

Drummer: Justin Barnes. This was a great way to make the wedding different.
String Quartet: Camellia String Quartet

Honeymoon location: Costa Rica
Any other of your wedding vendor(s) you’d like to call out? Rev. Bob Oshita from Sacramento Buddhist Church. My husband and I are not very religious, and Rev. Bob was perfect for us. He met with us four times prior to the wedding. He asked us to write letters to each other with specific indications. The day of the wedding he read excerpts from our letters — it was beautiful.
First Dance Song: “Lucky” by Jason Mraz
Any advice you’d give to our readers who are planning their weddings right now? Relax and enjoy the day. All that matters are the good memories you create surrounded by your love ones.
Anything that you would have done differently if you were given the chance? I wish I would have asked my photographer to go around the table and take pictures with the guests.
I would like to mention that I was very lucky. All of my vendors were excellent. My DJ was so funny and kept the dance floor full the whole time. The Studio was very patient and nice and took beautiful pictures. Everybody still talks about how talented my drummer was. I can’t believe he did not have the music list prior to the wedding but he was able to play to the beat of the music. I Make Beautiful/Makeup by Jenifer Haupt was great! She even let my bridesmaid use her products. The venue was spectacular. It was ready to go at 11:00 a.m. and my wedding wasn’t until 5 p.m. Everyone said that my photo booth people were very friendly and nice. My cake was delicious. The Camellia String Quartet was beautiful. Everyone was excellent! It was the most fun wedding I’ve ever been to!
